A Scalable Business is a business you can repeat and grow with SPEED and WITHOUT a large amount of infrastructure or capital.
For example, would a restaurant be a Scalable Business? No! Every time you want to open a new location, you need to invest time and capital resources and build new infrastructure.
You would need to sign a new lease, invest more capital resources, renovate the place, hire new employees, train new employees, market the new location, and a million other things before it could run on its own.
A Scalable Business is a business you’ll be able to grow to serve more customers without the overhead. For example, you don’t need to create new offices to serve more customers with Uber or a SaaS.
You will need to bring on more employees as you grow, but the number of employees you have won’t cap your growth as much as it would if you were running a restaurant.
